So I should know more about this situation as I work for an Intellectual Property Law Firm and I took classes both in Business Law and Internet Law, but I am claiming what follows here falls under the category of Fair Use.  If anyone comes across this and would like it taken down, please feel free to contact me.  Ok, so over the legal mumbo jumbo (who would have known those two words could really mean anything).

Amory Ross is a local photographer out of Newport, Rhode Island that is certainly living the dream.  Giving up on his double major in college, Ross turned to photography to combine his two loves, sailing and travel.  His work covering many international boat races is unprecedented and if you are looking for breath-taking views of Newport there is only one place to stop.  It is hard to really classify his work, but certainly a few pictures can start to do it some justice.

Maybe this is just the first time I have seen an underwater shot of a racing boat, but the contrast is unreal.  He also takes great scenery shots that he bases often around Newport.  Its amazing to think that the shots he catches are right around the corner from my house and I can still hardly imagine the views possible, so for someone not from the Newport County area, they can only be bewildering.

I have also added his blog to the blogroll on my site as he travels around the world covering all imaginable sailboat races.  Along with the races, he also captures views from the various areas he visits and his photography lends much to the imagination.
